How do I book Maafolhey?

Message us on WhatsApp with your travel dates and number of guests. We'll confirm availability and send you the seasonal rate. No deposit required.
What are the rates?

Rates vary by season — High (Dec–Apr), Mid (Aug–Nov), and Low (May–Jul). Send us your travel dates on WhatsApp and we'll send you the exact rate. We offer better rates for longer stays.
Do you offer long-stay discounts?

Yes. The longer you stay, the better the rate. If you're planning to stay for a week or more, send us your dates and group size — we'll put together a competitive rate.
Is there a deposit?
▾
No deposit is required to hold your booking. Your dates are reserved once we confirm the booking — you pay when you arrive.
When is low/mid/high season?
▾
High Season runs from December to April. Mid Season is August to November. Low Season is May to July. Message us with your specific dates and we'll tell you which season applies.
What payment methods do you accept?

Payment is made at check-in. We accept USD or EUR cash. Card payments are available with a 3.5% processing fee. MVR cash may be accepted, but exchange rates are usually less favorable.

What beds are in each bedroom?

Bedroom 1 has a queen bed. Bedroom 2 has a double bed and a single bed. The living area has a sofa that converts to a bed. Maximum occupancy is 6 guests, plus a baby cot available on request.
Is there a kitchen?

Yes. The kitchen has a four-burner stove, a full-size refrigerator, microwave, toaster, kettle, and complete cookware -- pots, pans, knives, utensils, plates, glasses, cutlery. The dining table seats the whole group. Most families find they eat in more than they expected because cooking here is easier than on most holidays. Tea, coffee, salt, and sugar are there when you arrive.
Is there a washing machine?

Yes, there is a washing machine available for guests. This is especially useful for families and long-stay guests.
Is there WiFi?

Yes, WiFi is available throughout the home at no extra charge. It's suitable for browsing, messaging, and basic video calls. We don't publish a specific speed because it varies with island network conditions, but most guests find it fine for normal use.
Is there a baby cot?

Yes, a baby cot is available on request. Please mention this when you message us about your stay.
How many people can sleep there?

The property sleeps up to 6 guests. The queen bed (2), double bed (2), single bed (1), and sofa bed (1-2) give you flexible sleeping arrangements. A baby cot is available for infants.

How far is Maafolhey from the beach?

The closest beach area is about 3 minutes on foot. The wider bikini beach area is about 5 minutes away.
Are there shops and restaurants nearby?
▾
Yes, grocery shops are 2–3 minutes on foot, and restaurants are also 2–3 minutes walking distance.
How do I get to Ukulhas?
▾
From Malé you have two options. (1) Direct speedboat from the speedboat terminal in Malé -- about 1.5 hours, easiest for most arrivals, pre-booking required. Ask us to help arrange it. (2) Public ferry on a set weekly schedule -- cheapest but slow (about 4 hours). Tell us your arrival flight when you message and we will recommend the best option.
How do I get from the airport to Maafolhey?

The nearest airport is Villa International Airport (VAM). From there, a short speedboat ride will bring you to Ukulhas. We can help arrange transfers — just ask when you message us.

We understand plans change. If you need to adjust your dates, just let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate. No penalties for reasonable changes.

Is smoking allowed?
