Payment and prices
1. Who operates Maafolhey
Maafolhey Han'dhaan is operated by Abdul Nasir Ali as a registered sole trader business in the Maldives.
Maafolhey is an entire private two-bedroom holiday home in Ukulhas, Maldives. Reservations are for the whole home, not for individual rooms.
The home accommodates up to 6 guests, subject to the guest details confirmed with the reservation.
2. Reservation confirmation
A reservation is confirmed when Maafolhey provides written confirmation of the stay, including the confirmed dates, guest details and accommodation price.
Guests should review the confirmation and tell Maafolhey promptly if any information is incorrect.
3. Standard-stay payment
For standard reservations, including the Stay 7 Pay 6, Stay 10 Pay 8, Stay 14 Pay 11 and Stay 21 Pay 17 offers:
Reserve with no prepayment. Pay at check-in.
Payment may be made in:
- USD cash;
- EUR cash; or
- card.
MVR cash is not accepted.
A 3.5% card processing fee applies only to card payments made through the physical POS terminal.
The 3.5% fee does not apply to bank transfers or to card payments made through a payment link.
Where payment is made in EUR, the applicable conversion will be confirmed by Maafolhey. No fixed EUR exchange rate is published in advance.
4. 60-night stay payment
The fixed accommodation price for the 60-night stay is USD 7,500.
A 15% non-refundable deposit of USD 1,125 is required within 7 days after reservation confirmation.
The deposit is paid by bank transfer. Payment instructions are provided after the reservation is confirmed.
If Maafolhey provides a card payment link for the deposit, the 3.5% physical-POS processing fee does not apply.
The remaining 85% — USD 6,375 — is payable at check-in or earlier if preferred.
5. Accommodation prices
Published Maafolhey accommodation prices include:
- 10% service charge
- 17% TGST
Green Tax is separate.
The current Green Tax is USD 6 per eligible guest per stay night; guests below age two at check-in are exempt.
6. Standard nightly rates
The whole-home accommodation rates are:
- May, June, July, September — USD 150 per night
- April, August, October, November — USD 250 per night
- December, January, February, March — USD 400 per night
- 24 December–5 January — USD 600 per night
The festive rate overrides the normal seasonal rate for applicable nights.
7. Stay offers
The following direct-stay offers are available:
- Stay 7 nights, pay for 6
- Stay 10 nights, pay for 8
- Stay 14 nights, pay for 11
- Stay 21 nights, pay for 17
When a standard offer crosses different seasonal rate bands, the complimentary nights are applied to the lowest-priced eligible nights within that stay.
Accommodation offers do not stack with one another and cannot be combined with the separate 60-night accommodation package.
8. The 60-night package
The 60-night accommodation package is a fixed product:
60 nights — USD 7,500
The accommodation price remains USD 7,500 regardless of which seasonal rate bands the stay crosses.
The package has a standard value of USD 9,000 and is equivalent to 50 paid nights at the USD 150 reference rate, with 10 complimentary nights worth USD 1,500 included across the 60-night stay.
No individual calendar dates are designated as the included nights.
Green Tax and transfers are separate.
Cancellation Policy
9. Standard-stay cancellations
The following cancellation policy applies to standard reservations, including the 7, 10, 14 and 21-night offers.
Cancellation charges are calculated against the confirmed accommodation total.

Because standard reservations do not require prepayment, a cancellation charge may still become payable even where Maafolhey does not already hold a payment.
Where applicable, Maafolhey may issue an invoice for the cancellation charge.
10. 60-night cancellations
The 60-night stay has a separate cancellation arrangement.
The 15% deposit of USD 1,125 is non-refundable.
If the reservation is cancelled before check-in:
- the 15% deposit remains non-refundable;
- no additional accommodation cancellation charge will apply; and
- any accommodation amount already paid above the 15% deposit will be returned.
11. No-shows
For standard reservations, failing to arrive without cancelling is treated as a no-show.
The accommodation cancellation charge is 100% of the confirmed accommodation total.
12. Changes before arrival
Requests to change arrival dates, departure dates, guest details or other reservation information are subject to availability and to confirmation by Maafolhey.
A requested change is not confirmed until Maafolhey accepts it in writing.
If a guest chooses to cancel rather than proceed with an available change, the applicable cancellation policy applies.
13. Shortening the stay after check-in
After check-in, shortening the confirmed stay or departing early does not reduce the accommodation charge.
The original confirmed accommodation total remains payable.
Exceptional circumstances may be reviewed individually at management’s discretion.
Stay Information
14. Check-in and check-out
Check-in: from 14:00
Check-out: by 12:00 noon
Earlier check-in or later check-out may be considered where available, but is not guaranteed unless confirmed by Maafolhey.
15. Smoking
Smoking is not permitted inside the house. It is permitted only in the designated outdoor patio/courtyard area.
16. Housekeeping
Housekeeping is provided throughout the stay.

17. Meals and kitchen
Maafolhey does not include breakfast or a meal plan.
The home includes a private kitchen, so guests can prepare their own meals or eat at restaurants and cafés on Ukulhas.
18. Transfers to Ukulhas
Scheduled speedboat transfers between Velana International Airport and Ukulhas are separate from the accommodation price.

Allow around 90 minutes for the scheduled speedboat between Velana International Airport and Ukulhas. Some services can take longer depending on intermediate stops, weather and sea conditions.
Transfer schedules and operating conditions may change because of weather, sea conditions or operational requirements.
19. Arrival assistance
A Maafolhey colleague assists arriving guests at Velana International Airport with the scheduled speedboat process.
On Ukulhas, a colleague meets guests at the harbour, assists with luggage and escorts them to Maafolhey for check-in.
20. Long stays and visitor extensions
For longer stays, Maafolhey can assist with the Maldives visitor-extension process.
Requirements depend on the traveller and on the Maldives Immigration rules in effect at the time.
Eligibility and approval are determined by Maldives Immigration and cannot be guaranteed by Maafolhey.
21. Guest privileges
Direct Maafolhey guests currently receive:
- 10% off Sea Crest Scuba diving
- 10% off Nala Bistro dining
- 10% off Nala Experiences excursions
Specific services, schedules and availability remain subject to the relevant provider.
22. Third-party services
Scheduled transfers, diving, excursions, restaurants and other services supplied by independent businesses are operated by those providers.
Their schedules, availability and operating conditions may change independently of Maafolhey.
23. Events outside our control
Maafolhey is not responsible for delays, cancellations or disruption caused by events outside its reasonable control, including severe weather, sea conditions, transport disruption, government action or other circumstances that prevent normal operation.
Where this happens, Maafolhey will make reasonable efforts to assist the guest and find a practical solution.
24. Exceptional circumstances
Where exceptional circumstances affect a guest’s stay, Maafolhey may review the matter individually.
Any exception or adjustment is at management’s discretion and does not change the standard terms applying to other reservations.
25. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and any reservation with Maafolhey Han’dhaan are governed by the laws of the Republic of Maldives.
Any dispute that cannot be resolved directly between the guest and Maafolhey will be subject to the competent courts of the Maldives.
