Booking confirmation

A booking is confirmed when we reply on WhatsApp with the seasonal rate and you accept it. No deposit is required for direct bookings — we hold your dates on trust.

Payment

Full payment is due at check-in. We accept USD or EUR cash (preferred), or card payment with a 3.5% processing fee. MVR is accepted but typically at an exchange rate less favourable for guests.

Changes and cancellation

Plans change — we understand. If you cancel well in advance, there is no charge. Last-minute cancellations during peak season may incur a fee equivalent to one night, but we always talk it through first. We handle every case individually.

Check-in and check-out

Standard check-in is from 14:00. Check-out is by 11:00. Earlier or later times are usually possible — confirm with us by WhatsApp when you message about your arrival.

House rules

• Maximum occupancy is six guests. Tell us your group size when booking; we can't accommodate more on arrival.
• No smoking indoors. Smoking is allowed on the outdoor patio.
• No pets in the home.
• Ukulhas is a Muslim community. Please dress modestly in the village and use designated "bikini beach" areas for swimwear.
• Alcohol is not sold on Ukulhas; please don't bring it into the home.
• Quiet hours from 22:00 to 06:00 out of respect for neighbours.

Damage and responsibility

Treat Maafolhey as you'd treat a friend's home — that's the standard we ask for. Accidents happen; tell us if something breaks and we'll work it out together. Wilful damage is the guest's responsibility.

Liability

We aren't liable for travel disruptions outside our control (weather, ferry cancellations, airline issues). We'll always help you reorganise where we can.
