Once a stay runs into weeks, the setup matters as much as the nightly rate. Maafolhey gives one party 2 bedrooms, a private kitchen, living and dining space, a washing machine, Wi-Fi and housekeeping — in one whole home.
Daily life
Food, laundry and living space carry more weight over time.
No breakfast or meal plan is included. The private kitchen means the household decides which meals to make and which to buy, instead of depending on restaurants for every person and every meal.
A washing machine means lighter luggage and regular laundry. The private living and dining space means somewhere to be that is not a bedroom — which matters far more in week four than it does on night two.
Housekeeping is provided throughout the stay. Routine housekeeping is every three days. Cleaning and linen changes are also available on request. Household waste is collected by the Ukulhas Waste Management team every morning.

The real comparison
Compare the household total, not one room rate.
For four or six people, a room-based stay often means two or three rooms, and food scales per diner and per meal. A fair comparison uses the complete accommodation total for the whole group, then adds Green Tax, transfers and a realistic food plan to both sides.
Having a kitchen does not guarantee a saving. It gives the household a choice between cooking, mixed days and eating out — and the saving depends entirely on which of those you actually do.

Ukulhas, on foot
Ukulhas is compact enough for daily life on foot.
Ukulhas is an inhabited local island about two kilometres long. Local shops make grocery buying possible, restaurants and cafés operate in the village, and there is a designated bikini beach.
Stock, prices and opening hours change. If a particular ingredient, service or activity matters to your stay, check it close to travel rather than relying on an old list.

Where a longer stay needs a visitor extension, we can help with the process. Current applications use the official IMUGA service.
Requirements depend on the traveller and on the Immigration rules in force at the time. Eligibility and approval are decided by Maldives Immigration, not by Maafolhey.

For two months: stay 60 nights, pay for 50.
Sixty nights would normally come to USD 9,000 at the USD 150 reference rate. The two-month stay includes 10 complimentary nights, so the accommodation total for the whole home is USD 7,500. No particular calendar dates are set aside as the complimentary nights.
Green Tax, scheduled speedboat transfers, meals and personal spending are separate. The two-month stay is confirmed with a 15% deposit of USD 1,125 rather than the no-prepayment terms that apply to standard stays.
